Mid summer walks along the river (part II)

Choices there, but focus on walk
There were choices for Saturday afternoon in the HTL house party. Boating was the first for our children. They were so keen to drive the boats! I love boating, river, and if one puts one’s feet in a lake or river or sea, that is heavenly enjoyable. Back my Chinese hometown, that can be a burning hot place in July and August, so close to the water to pass time has been one of the top choices for summer. On Saturday afternoon time didn’t permit for both boating and walking, so I went for my favourite walk along the river. There were houses there could provide B & B for tourists, I said to myself. Not to mention more about the sweet smell around the river, seeing the butterflies that would make you feel free. I heard that now the Chinese health and fitness days out are in mountains and lakes and do fragrance therapy as well, the fresh air intakes during a good walk makes you feel after a refreshing t&t.

The English, Japanese and the Chinese at midday sun

On the 2nd walk, with lovely couple friends and their lovely puppies, K & T, all could not wait to jump around, and down the river for a swimming? Heard someone mentioned about something was written by Noel Coward when travelling from Hanoi to Saigon, without a pen and paper and had the song all done in his mind, copied a few lines as below, (don’t think there is a copyright issue here):

Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun,
The Japanese don't care to, the Chinese wouldn't dare to,
Hindus and Argentines sleep firmly from twelve to one…

White swans swam away and said hello to us, 米仔兰 nodded to us and smiled to us, although not hearing Langlang but seemed to be in the air. After the refreshing ice cream we lost our direction – again lost in the mid summer dream!
